Loake is a family run business that has been making traditional English shoes since 1880. Look was setup in Kettering, Northamptonshire by three brothers, Thomas, John and William. Today, the business is run by the great-grandson of John, Andrew Loake.
A small fact: A pair of Goodyear Welted Loake shoes can take up to eight weeks to make. Some 130 skilled craftsmen, up to 75 shoe parts and over 200 different operations are involved.
